Grupo Pop compuesto por Lucía, Lola y Pilar Muñoz, hijas de "El Tomate", uno de los mejores guitarristas flamencos de la historia, simplemente. Y mientras este hombre se rompió el alma para derrochar arte con su instrumento, sus descendientes la levantaron en pala gracias a un solo éxito.
Allá por mediados de 2002 surgió un tema que sonaba en todos lados: el inolvidable “Aserejé”. Esta canción, insoportablemente pegadiza por donde se la mire, es considerada uno de los temas más exitosos de la historia de Pop, así nomás. Como sencillo, recibió múltiples discos de platino y varios primeros puestos. “Las Hijas del Tomate”, disco que contenía el mencionado “Aserejé” vendió 12.000.000 de placas en todo el mundo. Tremendo impulso para que estas tres hermanas se transformaran en las Spice Girls del Pop Latino. Pero nada de eso sucedió. Hubo que esperar hasta 2006 para ver un nuevo producto de Las Ketchup en las desquerías: “Bloody Mary”, que no tuvo el éxito esperado. Desde entonces no hubo noticias de las hijas del genial músico español. Una historia más que confirma que el talento no es hereditario.
